Artifact Overview

Chicago-based Abbott Alkaloidal Company, now Abbot Laboratories, sold cases filled with vials of medicines needed by doctors and veterinarians in their practices. This case contains drugs made by Abbott and other well-known pharmaceutical firms. Dr. F. Eugene Eads, who once headed the veterinary department at Parke, Davis and Company, owned this case.
