Sidetrack Bookshop in Royal Oak, Michigan hosted a drag queen storytime event on March 11, 2023. Despite threats of a large protest -- part of a larger national movement by right wing conservatives opposed to these events -- their presence was in the "dozens," far outnumbered by counter-protesting allies and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
