Artifact Overview

B+ (Brian Cross) is an Irish-born, LA-based photographer and filmmaker. Since the 1990s, he has chronicled hip hop, rap, jazz, cumbia, and reggae music scenes. A visual cartographer of sound culture, B+ captures moments of contemplation and inspiration within creative lives. Here, Grand Wizard Theodore's hands are documented as originators for the technique of record scratching in early hip hop.
