The David Brown Aston Martin DB5 Saloon, 1964

01

Artifact Overview

British automaker Aston Martin produced the DB5 from 1963 to 1965. Its name honored David Brown, who owned the company from 1947 to 1972. Though a remarkable automobile in its own right, with a body designed by Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, the DB5 is best known for its role as James Bond's car in the 1964 spy movie Goldfinger.
