Diane Beers joined TWA as a flight attendant in 1965. She earned this pin after six months of employment with the airline. Beers left TWA to marry Richard Hill in 1966. At the time, many airlines would not employ married women as flight attendants. That practice was eliminated on U.S.-based carriers by the 1980s.
