Dave Friedman captured and preserved auto racing history through his photography. His work -- and his collection of works by other photographers -- documents key races, cars, drivers, and teams. The 1959 United States 200-Mile Grand Prix for Sports Cars was held at Riverside International Raceway in October. Phil Hill, piloting a Ferrari, outlasted Lloyd Ruby in his Maserati.
