Dogs have served in many capacities at Greenfield Village over the years. A boxer named Champ lived in the Village Grounds Office during the 1950s and 60s. Champ often joined visitors on tours of the grounds. Champ became a favorite of the Village staff and is remembered as a "very good and faithful pal." He is buried behind Cotswold Cottage.
