Dogs have served in many capacities at Greenfield Village over the years. German Shepherds, King and Queen, and their human handlers patrolled the grounds of Greenfield Village in the late 1970s. Security officers at the Village employed the Shepherds to improve safety -- the brother and sister pair were not attack dogs but alerted their handlers to the presence of intruders.
