"A Valentine for My Husband, Life with My Guy is Fun and Exciting," 1954

01

Artifact Overview

This Valentine's Day card, featuring a wife and husband riding a tandem bicycle, calls to mind the song "Daisy Bell" written by Harry Dacre in 1892. Though first published during the bicycle boom of the 1890s, the song's chorus is recognized by many people even today: "You'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two."
