Reproductive Freedom Kite Kit, 2021
01
Artifact Overview
Reproductive freedom -- particularly surrounding abortion -- has a contentious history in the United States. In Roe v. Wade (1973), the Supreme Court ruled that abortion was a constitutionally protected right. Upheld in Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992), the decision was overturned in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization (2022). This kite kit was created to express support for reproductive rights, including abortion.
