Mickey Rooney (third from left) appeared in more than 300 films over an almost 90-year career. He reached the height of fame while still a teenager, playing the role of Andy Hardy in a popular movie series of the 1930s and 1940s. Rooney also starred in the film Young Tom Edison, based on the inventor's childhood.
