Bicycle Water Bottle, 1965-1975
01
Artifact Overview
Bicycling experienced a revival in the late 1960s and 1970s -- especially with the introduction of European-styled 10-speeds. This led to a plethora of specialized accessories like this plastic water bottle. The rider could conveniently pull the bottle out of its holder on the bicycle's frame, flip open the stopper, and take a sip of water while still riding.
