- Cleoda and Della Davis on the Steps of their Home, circa 1925 - Cleoda Davis (1899-1964) migrated from North Carolina during World War I, where he found work at a shipbuilding company in River Rouge, Michigan. He later worked as a pipe fitter for a chemical company in Detroit. In the early 1920s, Davis married Della Louise Massey (1902-1998) of North Carolina.

Cleoda Davis (1899-1964) migrated from North Carolina during World War I, where he found work at a shipbuilding company in River Rouge, Michigan. He later worked as a pipe fitter for a chemical company in Detroit. In the early 1920s, Davis married Della Louise Massey (1902-1998) of North Carolina.
- Jeff Davis, Richard Doumouchelle, and Larry Doumouchelle with the Wagon Made by Cleoda Davis, circa 1975 - Cleoda Davis fashioned a wagon from scrap wood and salvaged metal during World War II for his son Allen. Allen loved the wagon and played with it throughout his childhood in Lincoln Park, Michigan. Later, Allen's sons, Jeffrey and Patrick, and neighborhood friends found that same joy, speeding down the driveway or pulling the clattering wagon along the sidewalk.
