Letter from Isaac Fisher to Henry Ford, July 21, 1934
- Application Letters from Charles Jones for Work as Steward or Porter on the Fair Lane, Henry Ford's Private Rail Car, 1922-1923 - Henry and Clara Ford purchased <em>Fair Lane</em>, their private railroad passenger car, in 1921. When stories about the railcar appeared in newspapers, experienced railroad porters, stewards and cooks sent letters of interest about working for the Fords. Generally, <em>Fair Lane</em> was staffed by a porter to attend to passengers' needs, and a cook to prepare meals.

- Sexual Shakedown: The Sexual Harassment of Women on the Job, 1978 - As more women entered the workplace in the 1960s and 1970s, many faced sexual harassment, a term coined by Dr. Lin Farley in 1975. Dr. Farley later wrote <em>Sexual Shakedown</em> to track the long history of sexual harassment and call more attention to the issue. Her book would go on to inspire the first workplace training video on the subject.

- Ford Motor Company Memorandum regarding the Rehire of Simon Tokarski, 1937 - Lou Henry Hoover, former First Lady and president of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, wrote to Edsel Ford, president of Ford Motor Company, on behalf of a young Girl Scout. The girl's father, a former Ford employee, was out of work. Within days of receiving Hoover's inquiry, Ford rehired the man.

Never before had any employer offered this much money for unskilled work. The plan came with numerous strings attached, including rather intrusive company investigations to insure that workers would not spend their money on riotous living (as defined by Ford Motor Company) but workers accepted the intrusion because the money was so good.
