- Mack Model AB Tank Trucks at a Gas Station, February 1934 - Founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 1900, Mack Brothers Company relocated to Allentown, Pennsylvania, in 1905 and adopted the name Mack Trucks in 1922. Mack-built tank trucks like this had separate compartments for gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants, and other oil and petroleum products. The delivery trucks transported these products from distributors to gas stations.

- Charles "Tubby" Bowen, Club Harlem, 1934-1935 - This publicity photo of Charles "Tubby" Bowen (1911-1978) is from Club Harlem in Detroit, Michigan, circa 1935. Bowen was a local tenor saxophonist. He played in several bands in Detroit and was briefly a member of Count Basie's band. After a decade-long career as a journeyman musician, Bowen led his own band -- Tubby Bowen and his Tubs -- beginning in 1941.

- Riverside Hillclimb Trophy Awarded to Model N Ford, 1906 - Early 20th-century hill-climb competitions tested an automobile's ability to climb steep grades and navigate uneven roads and do both at the fastest possible speed. Former bicycle racer Charles Fuller Gates won this trophy at a 1906 hill-climb event at Riverside, California, driving a Ford Model N.

Rockefeller, Jr., Edsel Ford began to partner with him on numerous charitable efforts, including donating money to establish Great Smoky Mountains National Park. When Rockefeller found another way to completely cover the cost of the park, he suggested Ford transfer his donation over to Shenandoah National Park, to which Ford obliged.
