Norval Hawkins headed the sales department at Ford Motor Company for twelve years. He introduced innovative advertising techniques and presided over the organization of a nationwide network of dealerships and distribution. He also started Ford Times, the company newsletter. Under his leadership, Ford's annual sales jumped from 14,877 vehicles in 1907 to 946,155 in 1919.
