Ford M-10 Tank, 1943

Summary

Like other American automakers, Ford Motor Company suspended civilian production during World War II to manufacture Allied war materiel. Ford produced aircraft engines, bomber airplanes, gliders, tanks, and armored cars. The M10 armored vehicle had a range of 160 miles and a top speed of 28 miles per hour. Ford workers built 1,038 of these anti-tank machines.
