Summary

Before Henry and Clara Ford moved west of the city to their rambling Fair Lane estate, they lived on Detroit's Edison Avenue in the elegant Italian Renaissance Revival style home pictured here. Later known as the Boston-Edison Historic District, the neighborhood was home to many prominent Detroiters. The Fords occupied this house with their son Edsel from 1908 until 1914.
