WardsAuto serves various sectors of the auto-making industry. The organization began by publishing the Cram Report in 1924 and continued providing industry information with its Ward's Automotive Yearbook, first issued in 1938. They began publishing Ward's AutoWorld, a monthly trade magazine, in 1970. This October 1983 issue analyzed the sports utility vehicle trend of the 1980s.
