Summary

Following his pioneering solo transatlantic flight of May 20-21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh toured the United States with his airplane, the Spirit of St. Louis. He visited Detroit on August 10-12, 1927. While in nearby Dearborn, Lindbergh gave Henry Ford his first airplane ride. Lindbergh sent this letter to Ford to thank him for his hospitality during the stopover.
