Four-time Indianapolis 500 winners Al Unser, Sr., A.J. Foyt, and Rick Mears posed together for the cover of the 2013 race program. The cover unfolded to reveal three-time winners Dario Franchitti, Bobby Unser, Helio Castroneves, and Johnny Rutherford. Franchitti and Castroneves both hoped to join the four-time winners club in 2013, but the victory went to Tony Kanaan. Castroneves earned a fourth win in 2021.
