01

Artifact Overview

When Ford's Model T was introduced in October 1908, there was nothing quite like it on the road. Its durable construction and affordable price attracted first-time car buyers who appreciated the value. Prices for 1909 started at $825 for the two-seat runabout, and $850 for the four-seat touring car. Ford built more than 10,000 cars in the T's first model year.
