Andrew Riker: An Electric Car Pioneer Turns to Gas

Riker (1868-1930), a self-taught engineer, built electric motors, touring cars, trucks, even a successful race car. But when internal-combustion emerged as the engine of choice, he adapted by joining Locomobile to design gasoline-powered vehicles.
