Henry Ford (right) shook hands with driver Peter Kreis at the 1932 Indianapolis 500. Watching were (right to left) Henry Ford II, Edsel Ford, Benson Ford, Harvey Firestone, and Preston Tucker. Kreis drove one of five Studebaker-sponsored cars that year. He hit the wall on lap 178 and finished 15th. Kreis died in an accident at the 1934 Indy 500.
