After his first company was forced to close in 1875, H.J. Heinz persuaded several family members to open a new company -- F. & J. Heinz -- with Heinz running the business behind the scenes while rebuilding his reputation. F. & J. Heinz became a successful manufacturer of pickled foods and condiments. This letterhead was featured on the company's stationery.
