Clara Ford relaxes in the shade of a tree at her home on Edison Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. Henry, her husband, is pictured on her left. The couple built this house in 1907-1908 after years of renting. Money came from Henry's successful automobile venture, the Ford Motor Company.
