Eleanor Lowthian Clay (1896-1976) married Edsel Ford, the only son of automotive industrialist Henry Ford, in 1916. In this photograph, Eleanor poses with their three children, Henry (the oldest), Benson, and Josephine (then the youngest). William Clay Ford, the couple's fourth and last child, was born in 1925 -- about a year after this photograph was taken.
