Henry Ford and Henry Leland were photographed together when Ford purchased Leland's Lincoln Motor Company on February 4, 1922. It wasn't the first time their professional paths crossed. In 1902, after Ford left the Henry Ford Company, Leland reorganized that firm as Cadillac Motor Car Company. Leland sold Cadillac to General Motors in 1909, and he founded Lincoln in 1917.
