Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, and Harvey Firestone embarked on a series of camping trips between 1916 and 1924. They called themselves the Vagabonds. In the early years they traveled without their wives, but by 1920 the wives joined in. This image from 1921 shows Clara Ford. The Vagabonds and their wives were traveling through the mountains and forests of the central Appalachians.
