1920 Ford Model T Roadster Converted to a Pick Up Truck, Photographed in 1919
01
Artifact Overview
Although Ford introduced its heavy-duty Model TT truck in 1917, the company didn't produce a factory-built light-duty pickup until 1925. Before that, a customer looking for a smaller truck might buy a Model T roadster, then remove the rear deck and replace it with a homemade truck bed. These conversions were popular despite their limited load capacities.
