In 1891, Henry Ford left his small lumber business to work for the Edison Illuminating Company in Detroit. Here, he poses in the company's main generating station at State and Washington Streets. Henry, with a mustache, is on the left. George Cato, who helped Ford build his first horseless carriage, is on the right.
