Artifact Overview

Ford's Fairlane 500 series included the brand's top-of-the-line models for 1957. Additional badges and special gold inserts between the side trim pieces set these cars apart from lower-price Fords. The two-door Sunliner convertible started at $2,505 for a six-cylinder car, and $2,605 for one with a V-8. Ford built nearly 78,000 Sunliners for 1957.
