The 1939-40 New York World's Fair provided an opportunity for companies across the country to advertise to millions of people. Henry Ford was in attendance on June 16, 1939 for Ford Day, a celebration of Ford Motor Company, a major exhibitor at the exposition. Among the performers was London's renowned female bagpipe marching band, the Dagenham Girl Pipers.
