Introduced for 1957, Ford's Skyliner offered something novel in motoring: a retractable hardtop roof. The design won a prize at the 1958 Concours d'Elegance of Campione, Italy. Joe Oros (right), chief stylist of the Ford design studio, and George Walker (center), Ford Motor Company's director of styling, accepted the prize from Eric da Rin (left), the Italian consul in Detroit.
