Hot Rod, first issued in 1949, is one of the oldest publications devoted to the hot rod community. This November 1952 issue features the City of Burbank, a vehicle built and raced by George Hill and Bill Davis. These two Southern California hot rodders had set several International and U.S. land speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah in September.
