Car Window Price Sticker for a 1999 Ford Contour

01

Artifact Overview

Car window stickers, also called "Monroney labels," list the standard and optional equipment, fuel information, and cost of a car. Starting in 1994, the labels on all cars sold domestically, like this Ford Contour, were also required to state where the car's parts were made. This requirement stemmed from concerns about the effects of globalization on the auto industry and its consumers.
