Hudson Hornet Nameplate, 1955

01

Artifact Overview

The Hornet model name has a long history. Hudson used it on a series of full-size cars built from 1951-1957. Those "Fabulous Hudson Hornets" dominated NASCAR racing in the early 1950s. Hudson successor AMC applied Hornet to a compact car manufactured for the 1970-1977 model years. The name returned once more on the Dodge Hornet compact crossover of 2023-2025.
