Oliver Kuttner is a Charlottesville, Virginia, entrepreneur and lifelong auto enthusiast. He is the CEO of Edison2, which he founded in 2007 to compete in the $5 million Progressive Insurance Automotive X Prize. Edison2's Very Light Car won the competition, which went to a car that could seat four passengers, go at least 200 miles on a tank or charge, and meet various other stringent performance standards. Kuttner assembled a team in Lynchburg, Virginia, composed of old racing friends, aerodynamic experts, and others to produce the winner. Edison2's next phase is to turn their prototype into a car for the consumer market.
