Pascual Ortiz Rubio, President of Mexico, wrote to Edsel Ford in June 1932 to thank him and his father, Henry Ford, for presenting a new Ford V-8 automobile to him. President Ortiz Rubio congratulated Edsel Ford on the new model, praising its high quality, and he invited Ford to spend a few weeks in Mexico on his summer vacation.
