Artifact Overview
Though it was based on Ford's earlier Model A, the Model C of 1904-1905 featured updated styling -- including a European-inspired faux front hood -- and an improved two-cylinder, ten-horsepower engine that was 25 percent more powerful than the Model A's motor. Model C production totaled approximately 800 cars over the two model years. Prices started at $850.
