Artifact Overview

Henry Austin Clark, Jr., collected more than 200 cars, trucks and firefighting vehicles throughout his lifetime. Many were displayed in the Long Island Automotive Museum, which he operated from 1948 to 1980. Clark's rare 1910 Simplex, fully restored to operating condition, was one of the finest vehicles in his collection. Simplex automobiles were among the most powerful cars of their era.
