This 1931 photo of Clara Bryant Ford likely was taken on the porch of the Fords' winter estate in Fort Myers, Florida. The Fords purchased the house in 1916, partly persuaded by its location next to the wintertime home of their friends Mina and Thomas Edison. The Fords rarely visited Fort Myers after Mr. Edison's death in October 1931.
