Artifact Overview
Little people helped produce B-24 Liberator bombers at Ford's Willow Run factory during World War II. They set rivets inside of the narrow center sections of wings, insulated the airplane's fuel cells, and inspected work done in other confined spaces that larger workers could not access. Eddie Rickenbacker, America's World War I ace, greeted these invaluable workers during a factory visit.
