Loading Boxes of Westinghouse Mazda Lamps onto a Ford Truck, 1925

01

Artifact Overview

For 1925, Ford Motor Company's Model TT truck chassis was priced at $365, with the optional open cab adding $65 to that cost. Ford built more than 300,000 TT trucks that year. This one was fitted with a fifth-wheel hitch -- similar to the freight-hauling truck-and-trailer rigs seen on American highways today. Boxes of light bulbs made for particularly fragile cargo.
