- Ford GT40 and Ferrari 330 P at the Daytona Continental 2000 km Race, February 1965 - Bob Bondurant and Richie Ginther took third place overall -- and second in the prototype class -- in their #72 Ford GT40 at the 1965 Daytona Continental 2000-Kilometer Race. Ford created the GT40 to win France's celebrated 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. The GT40 did just that in 1966 -- and again in 1967, 1968 and 1969.
