Tickets going fast for Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village presented by Meijer

(Dearborn, Mich. – Oct. 2, 2018) –  Encounter characters from Wonderland, Oz, Sleepy Hollow and other classic tales along a path lit with more than 1,000 hand-carved pumpkins during Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village presented by Meijer, Oct. 12-14, 18-21 and 25-28. Unlike most Halloween celebrations, Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village is modeled after the holiday as it was celebrated during the first half of the 20th century and is fun for all ages.

New this year, guests will wander through a chilling dreamscape in Thomas Edison’s Menlo Park as bedtime stories play tricks with the imagination. You never know what monsters might be lurking under the bed.

For guests looking to complement their Hallowe’en visit, a new dining experience has been added for younger guests. Starting at 5:30 p.m., guests can climb aboard a horse-drawn hayride to A Taste of History Restaurant for a buffet supper with a cast of characters, including those from Alice in Wonderland. Admission is $40.95 for nonmember adults and $31.95 for youth ages 2-11, children under 2 years old are free. Members receive a special discount and admission into Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village is included.

Crowd favorites are back again, including Top Hat Sideshow with their carnival vaudeville act that brings the spirit and thrills of the traveling sideshows and carnivals of the early 1920s to life. Guests will also be treated to more swashbuckling action, live singing and dancing from Hallowe’en favorites the Pirates of the Suwanee, and musical performances from the Transylvanian Trio and the Potion Sisters.

Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village is $14.50 for members and $17 for non-members, children under two are free. Time slots are every half hour from 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays. Purchase tickets online at www.thehenryford.org or call 313-982-6001.
