Organization and Processing of the Stumpf Office and Home Library
Simmons Graduate Internship Program
This project would aim to complete the organization and processing of the Bill Stumpf Libraries that was begun in 2019. This includes separation of the 2 libraries, determining an appropriate classification system for their final shelf locations, and physical processing of the contents of the libraries. Most of the library is already cataloged but there will be instances of descriptive work that will need to be completed.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Sorting and organizing from the Bill Stumpf collection
- Processing books
- Updating/Creating bibliographic records as needed
- Create a capstone presentation of completed work
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with handling library materials
- Experience with Marc Records (coursework is fine)
- Strong organizational skills
- Current enrollment in a graduate level program
