Duties and responsibilities include:
Rare Book Handling
Completion of previously developed survey
Research into provenance and value of library items
In addition, at the completion of the internship, with assistance and input from appropriate staff, the student will present a synopsis of the project to an audience of The Henry Ford staff.
Currently enrolled in a graduate-level program with an archival or library focus
Experience with MS Excel
Additional desirable credentials:
Rare Book Handling Experience
Familiarity with MARC records
Successful completion of the internship will give the student experience with:
Rare Book collections
Special Collection Policies
Working relationship with a Special Collections library team
