Twilight Bike Ride
After-Hours Bicycling Adventure in Greenfield Village
Special Event at Greenfield Village®
- August 13-14, 2025
- Time: 6-8:30 p.m. (Timed entry from 6-6:45 p.m.)
- Location: Greenfield Village
Gear up for an unforgettable evening of cycling in Greenfield Village at Twilight Bike Ride, now open to the public for the first time.
Trikes, fixies, cruisers and road bikes are all welcome for a summertime cruise through 300 years of American history. Celebrate the boundary-breaking bicycle — an invention that paved the way for modern transportation — while you pedal past historic homes, working farms and legendary innovations. From Henry Ford's first Quadricycle to the Wright brothers' early bike shop beginnings, transportation inspiration is around every corner.
Along the way, stop for unique photo opportunities and whimsical cutouts that bring the spirit of the ride to life. Enjoy interactive moments with the Michigan Wheelmen, a group dedicated to preserving the heritage of cycling with their collection of antique bicycles and demonstrations. When it's time to refuel, a variety of on-site concessions, including food trucks, will be on hand with delicious summer treats available for purchase.
For our smallest cyclists, a training-wheels-only area is available near the historic Herschell-Spillman Carousel and the Donald F. Kosch Village Playground, both of which will be operational and included as part of Twilight Bike Ride.
Due to the nature of this special ticketed event, access to the entirety of Greenfield Village is limited; there is a designated biking path we ask all attendees to follow. Historic buildings will not be open.
Please note that bicycles are required for each ticketholder. Scooters, skateboards and electronic bicycles are not permitted.
