- Baker's Chocolate Recipe Booklet, 1936, "Baker's Selected Famous Chocolate Recipes" - Baker's Chocolate Company -- the oldest manufacturer of chocolate in the United States -- was established in 1780. Over the next two centuries, the company would earn awards for its chocolate and in 1881, the company adopted its recognizable trademarked image, La Belle Chocolatiere (The Chocolate Girl).
